It was going alright, but then my ship-thing got stuck into an enemy one as it was leaving the screen. My ship followed the other out-screen, and i could control it anymore.
This happened twice, and ended with a "level failed" screen after a while.

One annoying thing i found is that when you equip items on the right side of the inventory (for example in the off-hand slot) the descriptive label is mostly out of the game screen.

I'm disappointed because this episode was possibly easier than the first.
Beside that, the game is solid, even though it could have done without the shooting part. The art and the setting are great.
Still hate the person on the other side of the mobile, and that's still not entirely a bad thing.

I did try to make it harder, but obviously failed lol ;-)

An awesome brawler. The medals appear to be still bugged, since the only ones i appear to have on this page are "diplomatically challenged" and "the eventuallyending story", while in game i got the little pop-up thingy for being awarded many others.
Anyway, the game is good, and i didn't find any problem while playing.
It's rather annoying in two player mode on a single keyboard, and it could do with a full screen mode (the expand button really doesn't make it, because in my browser part of the game-screen is cut out, maybe it's because of my resolution, though).
The challenges are a nice addition to the beat'em'up. I always like them in my games. They are not very rewarding here, though, and plain easy after completing all the stories. Maybe some unlockables could have been linked to objectives rather than score.
The Convict ending is hard, but not impossible, at least on normal difficulty. I still haven't tried on OMFG. Then i'll move to survival mode, i guess.

I've actually got solutions to a couple of your problems. If two on a keyboard feels cramped, you can always just use a gamepad, such as a USB Xbox 360 controller, combined with the free downloadable program "Joy2Key". You might have to do a little bit of research for that, but I promise it's possible. Mindchamber and I have played with 2 others in a 4-player all-gamepads match.
Also, if you wanna play full-screen, there's a standalone download of the game at mindchamber.com/NGR.zip. That version's a bit out of date though.
Thanks for the detailed review.

But it gets boring fast. A great job though.
Probably you could use the same engine and make something more interactive than collecting orbs.

I'll definitely come back to complete it. One thing you could add is the possibility of picking the wrong way by putting different possible paths. Maybe that's there already, but i didn't see it while playing up to lvl 8.
There's a little glitch with jumping: if i'm going too fast the ball doesn't jump when i press space.

I'm kind of a fan of point and click adventures, but i usually enjoy much more the ones with a far less serious atmosphere. This series of yours, though, has been very entertaining to me. I really like the artwork, and the puzzles have always been hard but not frustrating. This time around i found them somewhat easier than the previous installments. The sounds are always fitting, and now we also get to see the story move faster than before, which is, in this case good. It gives a good pace with the fact that kara is being chased by that butler-guy.
Now, i'll patiently wait for spark of life.

A little too easy, i think. I got all the levels pretty fast. Only had to think a little harder to get the par in a couple of them (and got sub-par in lvl 41 and 44).
I think in bonus mode the pause/reset button shouldn't be hidden.
Really liked the different gravity axis.
Overall it's pretty entertaining, i just wish i understood the russian and morse messages.

Yeah, that size foamy asked for in the end is the one that those coffee sellers lack.
For now.

I like point 'n' click adventures, and this one was ok, even though it was lacking in many aspects.
- There's no dialogue. The protagonist is the only one that ever speaks.
- There's no story. Why are the characters after the flower? who are this guys?
- There's no ending. "Yay we got the flower" and the back to the menus? Again, this is related to the lack of a story.
- Some of the puzzles appear to be completely random. For example (spoiler ahead): the poisoned rat thing. I got it, but there's no reason to poison that guy that way, besides the fact it's the first thing that came to my mind.
Anyway the graphics are good, and the gameplay is ok. Game's a bit too short and easy to me, but that didn't weight much on my rating. Maybe i'm just too old.
